Activision Games for Girls

I went to a Games for Girls Summit sponsored by Activision and was amazed on how they are really taking the gaming world to new heights. Activision is really implementing some solid education into their games and taking girl games seriously. I experienced, first hand, how well these work with girls and am an Activision fan! They have researched the gaming world with girls and have brought a great level of challenge and enjoyment to their products.

Lalaloopsy

Lalaloopsy is good example of the level of product Activision has brought to the table. It is a new game, released this past month, and has the cutest doll to go with it. The fact that it involves sewing may be completely foreign to me but it makes it so intriguing.

GAME OVERVIEW

The whimsical and magical world of Lalaloopsy has been brought to life on the Nintendo DS. As thenew girl in town, you start by selecting your very own playable Lalaloopsy friend. Reunite all thefamiliar Lalaloopsy dolls with their lost pets to build incredible friendships and unlock exciting craftingactivities. Special surprises and cool collectibles make it a unique and exciting experience. There is somuch to do and so much fun to be had, it’s time to get sewing!

I recently was invited to be a part of Games for Girls Summit hosted by Activision and was really impressed with the research that has gone into gaming and our children. Confession. I am not a mom that has set hours for my kids on a screen, so I was so glad to hear that gaming is putting a lot of education into their development. A lot of research is going into the gaming world and how it affects our children.

The summit introduced us to 6 of the hottest games for the holidays. Today I am talking about the Wappy Dog.

Wappy Dog

Wappy Dog is one the hottest games this holiday season. Supplies are limited, which makes it even more desirable. So what makes this little guy on the top list?

Unprecedented level of interaction with an interactive pet toy:

• The only one of its kind that combines strong emotional attachment and deep simulation with the real world interaction of a physical companion.

• Wappy Dog can sing several different songs but can be trained to learn up to 16 tunes as play continues.

• More than 18 conversational prompts are answered with more than 350 evolving responses, with a “barked” response translated by the Nintendo DS software.

Crocs™ Shoes Giveaway

We have all seen them. Maybe we have even been wearing them. Ahem, some of us buy several pairs. They are those fun looking boat shoes that form to your feet and make walking fun! I am excited to have been invited to the grand opening of the new store in Austin on December 3. I will be hanging out, tweeting, on facebook, and taking some pics for you all to see!
